Seward, Alaska is the gateway to the Kenai Fjords National Park and is a small fishing town with a range of accommodations and attractions. Seward has a large selection of campgrounds and RV parks as well as public use cabins. Most of these are owned by the state and are accessible by foot, paddlecraft, or float plane. The area is also home to the Chugach National Forest and the National Park Service.

There are many hiking trails in Seward, including Exit Glacier. This glacier is the only area of the park that can be accessed by road. There are several public use cabins and lodges in the park
