Things to Do For Kids in Seattle

Kelsey Creek Farm

Kelsey Creek Farm is a great place to take your children to in Seattle. It’s an actual farm that’s open seven days a week. The farm has a playground, picnic tables, and a barnyard. Kids will love the free pen pal program, and you can also see farm animals up close.

Kids will enjoy the pony rides and fun crafts at Kelsey Creek Farm. You can also send a letter to a farm animal by using the letter-writing program. In return, you will receive a letter. The farm will mail them a letter with a photograph of the animal and a self-addressed envelope. You can send one or two letters to the animals and they will respond in writing.

Fremont Troll

The Fremont Troll sculpture is a Seattle landmark. It’s also a great place to climb and enjoy the sights of Seattle. The Fremont Arts Council held a contest to create it. They wanted to improve the area below the bridge which had become a drug den or dumping ground. The troll, which is 18 feet tall, is free to view and climb, and you can also enjoy a cold beer at the nearby Fremont brewery.

The troll statue is also located near the Aurora Bridge. This sculpture, measuring 18 feet, resembles a Norwegian folklore hero and stands next to a Volkswagen Beetle. The statue is made of concrete, steel rebar, and wire, and weighs over 13,000 pounds. It once featured a bust of Elvis Presley, but that was sadly stolen by vandals.

Museum of Pop Culture

If you are looking for fun things to do with kids in Seattle, consider taking them to the Museum of Pop Culture. This fun museum is located in downtown Seattle and is a great place to teach kids about pop culture. Its exhibits include music and movies, television, as well as video games. The Museum of Pop Culture also has many rotating exhibits.

The museum has exhibits suitable for all ages. It is recommended that you spend at least two hours exploring this museum. It also has many interactive exhibits that will appeal to kids of all ages. Visitors who took their children here said that they had a great time.

Seattle Children’s Theatre

The Seattle Children’s Theatre is a local resident theatre for young audiences. This non-profit company was established in 1975 and performs at two theatres located at Seattle Center. The main theatre holds about 482 seats, and the second theatre holds 275 seats. The theatre also offers summer performances and a drama school.

The theatre was originally known as Poncho Children’s Theatre in its early years. However, it was legally renamed Seattle Children’s Theatre when it became legal. At the time, the theatre’s offerings included fairy tales, adventure tales, and classics of American literature. Its first plays included The Wind in the Willows and Alice in Wonderland.
